Are you a proactive content strategist with a proven track record of turning raw footage into high-performing short-form video?
Our client is seeking an experienced, organized Social Media and Short-Form Video Content Manager to lead end-to-end content creation, video editing, and performance reporting across two established brands—with room to expand into a third personal brand and YouTube channel. In this role, you will take full ownership of the content pipeline, driving executive personal branding, career positioning, and business consulting content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. We are looking for a self-directed professional with exceptional written English, strong visual consistency, and a sharp understanding of social media optimization and search discoverability. You will succeed here if you have a strong portfolio of personally edited Reels, Shorts, or LinkedIn videos, along with hands-on experience using Notion and Monday.com to manage editorial calendars and streamline workflows. If you thrive on autonomy, understand brand voice, and can plan polished assets up to three months in advance, we want to hear from you!
The role may expand in Phase 2 to include management of an additional personal brand, long-form YouTube video editing, and YouTube SEO, subject to the success of the initial engagement.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, Part-Time (20–25 work hours per week, with potential to expand to full-time hours)
Time Zone: Must have some working-hour overlap with Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST, UTC+10) and availability for short check-ins after 4:30 PM Brisbane time.
Responsibilities
Short-Form Video Editing and Content Production
- Edit raw video footage into polished, engaging short-form content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn video posts.
- Incorporate compelling hooks, captions, music, branding elements, and appropriate pacing to improve viewer retention and engagement.
- Repurpose existing video content into platform-appropriate formats while preserving the original message and intended tone.
- Apply brand kits, templates, and visual guidelines consistently across all content.
- Improve existing content creatively rather than simply reposting or copying material.
- Produce original, human-edited content that meets professional quality standards.
- Use Canva Pro, CapCut, and Adobe Creative Suite as appropriate for video editing, graphic design, and content production.
Social Media Content Planning and Scheduling
- Develop and maintain a forward-looking content calendar, planning and preparing content up to three months in advance.
- Manage content planning and scheduling across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Schedule posts through Buffer and Meta Business Suite, ensuring content is prepared, approved where required, and published according to agreed timelines.
- Maintain a consistent publishing schedule across the supported brands and platforms.
- Coordinate content production, captions, creative assets, and publishing dates to ensure each post is ready on time.
- Identify content gaps, upcoming opportunities, and scheduling conflicts before they affect delivery.
- Maintain a clear distinction between confirmed content and new ideas awaiting prioritisation.
Copywriting, Captions, and Brand Voice
- Write concise, engaging social media captions that reflect each brand's personality, audience, and positioning.
- Use British English spelling and conventions across written content.
- Follow brand guidelines precisely, including the requirement to avoid emojis in captions.
- Create platform-appropriate copy that communicates the intended message clearly and professionally.
- Optimise captions, keywords, and relevant hashtags to improve organic discoverability.
- Ensure content remains consistent with the distinct identities of the supported brands: Executive personal branding and career positioning (supportive, personable, and personality-driven) and Change management and business consulting (professional, practical, and business-focused).
SEO and Social Media Discoverability
- Apply relevant keywords, hashtags, and search-friendly captions to improve content visibility.
- Optimise social media content for platform search and audience discovery.
- Monitor engagement and reach to identify content themes and formats that perform well.
- Use performance insights to recommend practical improvements to future content.
- Keep up to date with platform-specific content requirements and optimisation practices.
Content Pipeline and Project Management
- Maintain the Notion Content Pipeline as the central record of planned, in-progress, scheduled, and published content.
- Capture new content ideas in Notion, organise them into actionable tasks, and ensure priorities remain aligned with the agreed plan.
- Use existing Notion resources, including the Socials Engine, Content Pipeline, and Secret Sauce Planner, to support content planning and production.
- Assist with restructuring and improving the existing Monday.com project management setup.
- Track deadlines, deliverables, dependencies, and content status across the production workflow.
- Keep content records accurate and up to date so upcoming work and publishing schedules are visible at a glance.
- Manage new ideas through an organised backlog rather than automatically adding them to the active publishing schedule.
- Proactively identify missing information, outstanding assets, and workflow bottlenecks.
Performance Reporting and Continuous Improvement
- Prepare a concise monthly social media performance report covering likes, reach, follower growth, and other relevant engagement indicators.
- Identify successful content themes, formats, and topics worth developing further.
- Highlight opportunities to improve audience engagement and search reach.
- Provide practical recommendations based on observed results rather than assumptions.
- Use reporting insights to guide future content planning and production priorities.
Communication and Stakeholder Coordination
- Work independently while maintaining clear, consistent communication with the relevant stakeholder.
- Acknowledge messages within four hours of the start of the working day, providing either an answer or a clear timeframe for a response.
- Meet agreed deadlines and proactively communicate potential delays before they occur.
- Participate in a short weekly check-in after 4:30 PM Brisbane time.
- Prepare for monthly performance reviews and provide clear updates on progress, priorities, and outstanding items.
- Work effectively through text and email, as daytime availability for detailed discussions is limited.
- Capture discussions and ideas accurately and translate them into organised tasks and deliverables.

- Experience with Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Canva Pro, and CapCut.
- Ability to plan and organise content several weeks or months ahead.
- Understanding of social media SEO, keywords, hashtags, and content discoverability.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills and a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise competing tasks, and proactively identify problems.
