Job summary

Easy Super, an Australian SMSF specialist accounting firm, seeks an experienced Production Manager/Supervisor to review work, resolve technical queries, liaise with auditors and manage client information requests from a Manila-based team.

With 8+ years in Australian SMSF accounting, you will lead accountants, oversee pensions, contributions, property, and LRBA issues, and ensure timely, accurate outputs. Strong English and software skills are essential for success in this remote role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years Australian SMSF accounting experience, including reviewing work and supervising accountants.
• Strong knowledge of SMSF accounting, taxation and compliance, including pensions, contributions, property and LRBAs.
• Experience dealing with SMSF auditors and resolving audit queries.
• Experience communicating with Australian clients and managing information requests.

Responsibilities

• Review SMSF financial statements, tax returns and workpapers for accuracy and compliance before submission to audit.
• Answer technical queries from the accounting team and provide clear instructions to resolve issues.
• Liaise with external auditors, resolve audit queries and ensure complete supporting documentation is provided.
• Communicate with clients to request information, clarify discrepancies and obtain outstanding documents.
• Manage workflow, allocate jobs and follow up to keep work progressing to completion.
• Check that review points are addressed before signing off the work.
• Identify recurring errors and train accountants to prevent them.
• Monitor job budgets, deadlines and team productivity.
• Escalate complex matters to the Director with analysis and proposed solutions.

Job description

Easy Super is an Australian SMSF specialist accounting firm. We are looking for an experienced SMSF Production Manager/Supervisor to review work, resolve technical queries from our accountants, liaise with external auditors and manage client information requests. You must be able to independently review SMSF files, review clients information requests, deal with the auditor, assist the team with queries and provide team with the technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Review SMSF financial statements, tax returns and workpapers for accuracy, completeness and compliance before submission to audit.
• Answer technical queries from the accounting team and provide clear instructions on how to resolve issues.
• Liaise directly with external auditors, resolve audit queries and ensure complete supporting documentation is provided.
• Communicate directly with clients to request information, clarify discrepancies and follow up outstanding documents needed to complete their SMSF accounts and audit.
• Manage workflow, allocate jobs and follow up outstanding matters to keep work progressing through to completion.
• Check that review points have been addressed correctly before signing off the work.
• Identify recurring errors and train accountants to prevent them.

About you

• At least 8 years of Australian SMSF accounting experience, including reviewing work and supervising accountants.

• Strong proficiency in BGL Simple Fund 360.
• Experience dealing directly with SMSF auditors and resolving audit queries.
• Experience communicating with Australian clients and managing information requests.
• Ability to research technical issues and give the team clear, practical answers.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Experience managing multiple jobs and meeting deadlines.
• Experience with cryptocurrency, unlisted investments and Xero Practice Manager will be highly regarded.
