Jobs360 in the Philippines is seeking an SMP Designer/Drafter for an on-site morning shift. You will create detailed Structural, Mechanical, and Piping designs, develop 3D models in Autodesk Inventor, and prepare fabrication drawing packages for Australian projects.

You will ensure compliance with AS standards (AS 1657, AS 3990, AS 4100, AS 4140), mentor junior designers, and collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver accurate outcomes while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of proven SMP design experience.
• Experience on Australian projects is essential.
• Knowledge of AS 1657, AS 3990, AS 4100, AS 4140.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed Structural, Mechanical, and Piping designs and fabrication drawing packages.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards AS 1657, AS 3990, AS 4100, AS 4140.
• Develop 3D models and GA drawings using Autodesk Inventor, preferably.
• Produce as-built models from 3D laser scanning data for projects.
• Assist in processing and preparing scanned data for design work.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver timely outcomes and mentor junior designers.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Create detailed Structural, Mechanical, and Piping (SMP) designs and complete fabrication drawing packages.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, including AS 1657, AS 3990, AS 4100, and AS 4140.
• Develop 3D models, general arrangement drawings, and set-out drawings using Autodesk Inventor, preferably.
• Develop as-built models of structures and equipment using 3D laser scanning data.
• Assist with processing, registering, and preparing 3D laser scanning data for design and modelling projects.
• Assist in preparing project cost estimates and timeframes.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other design professionals to deliver accurate and timely project outcomes.
• Mentor and support junior designers and drafters.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in SMP design projects.
• Previous experience working on Australian projects is essential.
• Minimum Qualifications
• Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, including AS 1657, AS 3990, AS 4100, and AS 4140.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• A Successful Candidate Must Have
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate designs within strict deadlines.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• The ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Proficient With

• Autodesk Inventor (highly preferred).
• Microsoft Office applications.

• Mechanical and structural detailed design.
