Job summary

You will support skilled workers with basic construction tasks, use hand and power tools, and help ensure safe, efficient site operations. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or vocational training and 1–3 years in HVAC or related trades.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or vocational training in HVAC, welding, mechanical, electrical, or related trade.
• 1–3 years of experience in HVAC works, construction, or related mechanical trades.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC installation works such as ducting, piping, insulation, or equipment installation.
• Familiar with the proper use of hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in HVAC installation tasks including ductworks, piping, insulation, and equipment.
• Support skilled workers in fabrication, assembly, fitting, alignment, and installation.
• Perform basic trade tasks like measuring, cutting, grinding, drilling, and cleaning.
• Help load, unload, and store materials and tools on site.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas before, during, and after installation.
• Follow Foreman, Supervisor, or Leadman instructions to complete tasks on time.
• Assist in site preparation and coordination of materials for daily activities.
• Observe safety rules, use PPE properly, and maintain site housekeeping.
• Report damaged materials or unsafe conditions to supervisors.

About the role

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Skilled Helper to assist in HVAC installation and other mechanical works at project sites. The ideal candidate must have basic knowledge of construction and HVAC-related activities, be physically fit, and capable of supporting skilled workers in daily site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of HVAC systems such as ductworks, chilled water piping, refrigerant piping, supports, insulation, and mechanical equipment
• Support skilled workers during fabrication, assembly, fitting, alignment, and installation of materials and components
• Perform basic trade-related tasks such as measuring, cutting, grinding, drilling, cleaning, and material handling
• Assist in loading, unloading, transfer, and proper storage of materials, tools, and equipment at the project site
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas before, during, and after installation activities
• Follow instructions from the Foreman, Supervisor, or Leadman to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
• Assist in site preparation, access arrangement, and coordination of materials needed for daily activities
• Observe and comply with project safety rules, proper use of PPE, and site housekeeping standards
• Report damaged materials, unsafe conditions, or work-related issues to immediate supervisors

About you

• At least High School Graduate or vocational course graduate in HVAC, welding, mechanical, electrical, or other trade-related fields
• At least 1-3 years of experience in HVAC works, construction, or other related mechanical trades is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of HVAC installation works such as ducting, piping, insulation, or equipment installation
• Familiar with the proper use of hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual work in construction site conditions
• Willing to be assigned to project sites and render overtime work when required
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
• Hardworking and willing to learn
• Good teamwork and coordination skills
• Knowledgeable in basic safety practices on-site
