Job summary

Planate Management Group is seeking a Site, Safety and Health Officer to implement, monitor, and enforce safety, health and security requirements for aerodrome projects in the Philippines. You will ensure compliance with DOLE regulations and airport operation standards while maintaining a safe environment for personnel and stakeholders.

You will conduct inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and training, and prepare safety reports and records to meet project and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Accredited Health and Safety Practitioner by DOLE with a valid accreditation.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in aviation or airport safety projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and airport operational requirements.
• Proven ability in hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication, coordination, leadership and report-writing skills.
• Experience with safety documentation and compliance records.
• Experience with airport authorities and international contractors.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor site safety, health, and security programs in accordance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations to identify and mitigate potential safety concerns.
• Ensure compliance with approved safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, emergency response plans, and PPE requirements.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss events, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Conduct safety orientations, toolbox meetings, and training programs to promote safety awareness among project personnel.
• Prepare and maintain safety reports, inspection records, incident logs, and other documentation required by the project and regulatory agencies.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Job description

The Site, Safety and Health Officer shall be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing occupational safety, health, and security requirements for aerodrome projects. The role ensures compliance with applicable safety regulations, airport operational requirements, project safety standards, and established health and safety management systems to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor site safety, health, and security programs in accordance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations to identify and mitigate potential safety concerns.
• Ensure compliance with approved safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, emergency response plans, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss events, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Conduct safety orientations, toolbox meetings, and training programs to promote safety awareness among project personnel.
• Prepare and maintain safety reports, inspection records, incident logs, and other documentation required by the project and regulatory agencies.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree holder
• Accredited Health and Safety Practitioner by DOLE with a valid accreditation.
• Must have held DOLE Health and Safety Practitioner accreditation for at least five (5) years.
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in airport or airfield safety and security operations, construction safety, or aviation-related infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations, construction safety standards, and airport operational safety requirements.
• Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety compliance monitoring.
• Excellent communication, coordination, leadership, and report-writing skills.
• Proficient in preparing safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
• Experience in airport, aerodrome, runway, taxiway, apron, or other aviation infrastructure projects.
• Completion of advanced occupational safety and health trainings recognized by DOLE.
• Familiarity with airport security procedures, airside safety requirements, and emergency response planning.
• Experience working with airport authorities, government agencies, consultants, and international contractors.
