Job summary

Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation (SEPCO) is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to provision and manage cloud-based infrastructure supporting services. You will deploy via CI/CD pipelines, handle Linux servers, implement IaC with Terraform, and drive POC initiatives for improvements.

The role requires 3+ years in SRE or related fields, strong Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tool experience (Datadog/Prometheus/Grafana).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related technical field.
Minimum of 3 years of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or related experience.
Proficient with cloud services such as AWS.
Understanding of scalability, high availability and distributed systems.
Strong Linux expertise (Ubuntu and Amazon Linux).
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus and Grafana.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform.
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions or ArgoCD.
Scripting with Bash or Python; automation with Ansible.
Experience with logging/tracing tools like ELK Stack or Splunk.
Experience working with cross-functional teams (Development, DevOps, Security).

Responsibilities

Provision and manage cloud-based infrastructure to support services.
Deploy infrastructure and applications via CI/CD pipelines.
Address service requests from counterparts and developers to ensure timely resolution.
Manage Linux servers to maintain stability and performance.
Perform system upgrades to maintain security and reliability.
Create automation scripts or tools to improve efficiency.
Spearhead POC initiatives to develop solutions.
Design and modify system monitoring alerts and dashboards.
Identify and resolve system issues or alerts to minimize downtime.
Remediate security audit findings to maintain compliance.
Conduct vulnerability scanning and remediation on supported systems.
Identify cost-saving measures to optimize resources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure alignment.
Review cloud operation tasks and security measures to ensure reliability.
Create work plans for complex tasks.
