Job summary

A construction project firm in Metro Manila is seeking an experienced HR Officer to support their site operations. Responsibilities include onboarding new hires, managing timekeeping and payroll records, and addressing employee concerns on-site. The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree and has at least 2 years of experience in HR or related fields. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of working experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of Payroll, Timekeeping and Records Management Processes required.
  • Experience supporting a Construction Project as site-based employee is an advantage.

  • Attend to the onboarding of new hires and secure their requirements.
  • Collect and prepare time log records for payroll processing.
  • Manage petty cash and maintain related records.

Job description
Responsibilities
  1. Attends to the onboarding of new hires
    1. Secure new hire requirements
    2. Uploads data in biometric/timekeeping system
    3. Assists with creation and activation of payroll disbursement account
    4. Conducts orientations in partnership with the Safety Officer
  2. Collects time log records of site employees using biometric and manual methods
  3. Prepares time log templates to be submitted to counterparts in HR (Head Office) for payroll processing
  4. Routes time log records and overtime forms for approval of Site Supervisors and Managers
  5. Maintains records of manpower on-site
  6. Safekeeps the Petty Cash Fund and manages its release to site employees
  7. Maintains the Petty Cash Liquidation Template
  8. Records incoming and outgoing documents received and released by the site project team
  9. Processes application of walk-in candidates for open site-based positions
  10. Handles the site employees’ immediate concerns at the frontlines and provides immediate resolution
  11. Relays to Head Office Human Resources any other matters requiring higher level decision-making
  12. Presents contract addendums and other milestone notices to employees
  13. Collates required HR files and transmits to Human Resources
  14. Assists the Human Resources Officer in carrying out disciplinary proceedings
  15. Other administrative duties as assigned from time to time
Qualifications
  1. Must have a Bachelor’s/College Degree Preferably in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Management or Equivalent
  2. At least 2 years of working experience in a related field is required for this position
  3. Knowledge of Payroll, Timekeeping and Records Management Processes required
  4. With experience supporting a Construction Project as site-based employee a definite advantage
  5. High attention to detail with a resolve to maintain accuracy
  6. Excellent communication and writing skills
  7. Proficient in MS Office programs especially Excel
  8. Willing to be based on-site for the extent of the project
