Upgrade Energy Philippines is seeking a Site Engineer to oversee the day-to-day operations and site activities of a ground-mounted solar project in Bulacan. The role focuses on safety, quality, and timely execution, coordinating with the Project Manager and field team.
You will supervise installers and subcontractors, prepare regular site reports, maintain equipment, and ensure adherence to plans, schedules, and company procedures.
We are looking for a Site Engineer to oversee the day-to-day operations and site activities of a ground-mounted solar project in Bulacan. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient site operations, supervising installers and subcontractors, monitoring work progress and quality, coordinating maintenance activities, and preparing regular site reports.
The Site Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager and site team to ensure that project activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved plans, schedules, quality standards, and company procedures.
Ensure compliance with all site safety requirements and conduct regular Safety Walks and field inspections.
Perform and monitor Quality Control (QC) activities, including assessments of installation work.
Supervise daily site activities, work schedules, assignments, and execution of project activities.
Manage and provide general supervision to site personnel, local workers, installers, and subcontractors.
Provide technical guidance and direction for solar PV installation activities.
Monitor project progress and provide updates to the Project Manager.
Collect site data and prepare work orders, progress reports, and other required documentation.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly site reports.
Monitor the availability and condition of tools, equipment, spare parts, and solar project materials.
Determine and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
Use technical knowledge and field experience to identify issues and optimize site performance.
Investigate accidents and incidents and prepare corresponding reports and recommendations.
Provide coaching, training, and direction to site personnel to ensure proper work practices and compliance with procedures.
Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager, customers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager or authorized representative.
Required:
Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer (REE).
With hands-on experience in ground-mounted solar PV projects.
Experience in solar PV installation, construction, commissioning, or site operations is highly preferred.
Must be willing to be relocated to Bulacan for the duration of the project.
Must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
Willing to work in a project/site-based environment.
Willing to work outdoors and in varying field conditions.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, solar PV systems, and site safety practices.
With experience supervising installers, technicians, workers, or subcontractors.
Good communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Organized and capable of preparing technical and progress reports.
Able to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced site environment.
Preferred:
Experience in utility-scale or ground-mounted solar projects.
Experience in solar PV construction, testing, commissioning, or O&M.
Knowledge of electrical testing, PV system troubleshooting, and basic solar project documentation.
Knowledge of relevant electrical, construction, and occupational safety standards.
Experience working with EPC contractors, solar developers, or renewable energy companies.
This is a project-based position assigned to a ground-mounted solar project in Bulacan. Applicants must be willing to relocate and work on-site for the duration of the project.
