JOB SUMMARY
The Site Engineer acts as the project manager and primary technical advisor on‑site, bearing responsibility for all construction activities. Their role is to ensure that design plans are accurately implemented, work is completed to specifications, and the project adheres to quality standards, budget constraints, and the agreed‑upon schedule. They effectively bridge the gap between design plans and on‑the‑ground execution.
DETAILED TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical & Quality Control (QC)
- Set out and Survey: Accurately set out, level, and survey the site, determining the precise location for all infrastructural installations, both above and below ground, based on designs and plans.
- Design Interpretation & Accuracy: Act as the main technical advisor, checking and interpreting plans, drawings, and quantities for calculation accuracy.
- Compliance & Inspection: Monitors construction activities and performs quality control inspection to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Ensure that all work performed and materials used comply with project specifications, industry standards, and local construction regulations.
- Material Quantity & Estimation: Rehash estimates and rebar cutting list to ensure cost‑effective material use and accurate ordering.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee QC measures, conduct regular inspections, and test materials to maintain construction standards.
- Problem‑Solving: Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and problems that arise on‑site, providing expert guidance and solutions.
Management & Supervision
- Site Management: Responsible for all physical construction activities on site. Oversee the day‑to‑day management, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and subcontractors.
- Scheduling & Planning: Plan the work, efficiently organize the site facilities, and draw up work schedules to meet agreed deadlines. Analyze causes and effects of work delays and propose necessary measures to eliminate such work delays.
- Resource Management: Oversee the selection, requisition, and management of materials, equipment, and human resources; coordinates with sub‑contractors and suppliers for timely execution.
- Safety & Security: Oversee site security and ensure strict adherence to all health and safety protocols and legislation.
- Cost Control: Monitor project costs, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and assist in managing the project within budget constraints.
Communication & Documentation
- Liaison & Meetings: Communicate and liaise effectively with all stakeholders. Participates in the scheduled toolbox/coordination meeting on site, meetings with contractors and clients, and prepares minutes of the meeting as needed.
- Reporting: Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly construction activity reports. Prepare and compile comprehensive reports, progress updates, quality control measures, and documentation of all site engineering activities, for owners and project managers.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including change orders and final handover documents.
- Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.
KEY REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional License (Passed Board/Professional License Exam) is a must.
- At least 2 years experience in Project Management or similar role within the construction industry. Background in high‑end construction and/or fit‑out projects (residential and high‑rise) with experience in both Structural and Architectural works is a strong advantage.
- Willing to be assigned anywhere in CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Quezon Province).
- Full time positions available.

- Project Management: Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills to manage schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Analytical and Logical Thinking: Ability to apply logical and critical thinking to interpret designs, calculate quantities, and resolve on‑site issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with diverse teams, negotiating with vendors, and preparing detailed reports.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Strong leadership skills to supervise staff and contractors, and the ability to build effective working relationships with all project stakeholders.
- Software Proficiency (Required Skills): AutoCAD, MS Office Applications, SketchUp.
