Job summary
Schneider Electric is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize sheet metal and CNC processes on the shop floor. You will program CNC equipment, lead process improvements, and collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to deliver safe, efficient metal components.
Ideal candidates have hands-on CNC programming skills, deep understanding of punching, bending, laser cutting, and forming, and experience in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement in a
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years in a Manufacturing Engineer role within metalworking or sheet metal environments.
- Strong CNC programming experience and knowledge of sheet metal fabrication.
- Familiarity with punching, bending, laser cutting, and forming processes.
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and sustain sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Program and troubleshoot CNC equipment including punching, laser cutting, and press brakes.
- Improve machine utilization, cycle times, productivity, and process efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and validation.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and work instructions.
- Present and lead technical projects related to process improvements.
