A Sewing Operator is responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to assemble or finish garments or textile products. This role involves working with fabrics and materials to produce quality products in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines (e.g., flatbed, overlock, or serger machines) to sew fabrics according to specifications.
• Adjust machine settings for different fabric types, stitch patterns, and garment styles.
• Ensure the machine is properly set up and maintained for smooth operation.
• Follow production schedules and work to meet daily or weekly production targets.
• Inspect sewn items for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards (e.g., checking stitching, seams, and fabric alignment).
• Make necessary adjustments to ensure the final product meets design specifications and company standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to keep them in good working condition.
• Work with different types of fabrics and materials, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
• Measure and cut fabric according to pattern templates or production requirements.
• Ensure proper threading and tension on the sewing machine.

Educational Qualifications

Experience
