Job summary

GTW Retail and Leisure Corporation, Boracay Central in Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan, is seeking a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Operator. You will oversee daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the mall's wastewater system, ensuring efficiency and safety compliance.

The role requires technical training, 2+ years in STP operations, and willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed. Location: Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan.

Qualifications

• Graduate of technical or vocational course related to Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or Industrial Technology.
• 2+ years of experience in sewage treatment plant operations, wastewater treatment, or related facility maintenance.
• Familiarity with STP equipment, wastewater treatment processes, and basic equipment troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of wastewater monitoring, chemical handling, and environmental safety procedures is an advantage.
• STP operation or wastewater treatment training or certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor STP equipment, pumps, motors, blowers, and related systems.
• Conduct daily inspections and monitor wastewater treatment processes to ensure efficient plant operations.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and minor repairs of STP equipment.
• Monitor and record water quality parameters, chemical usage, flow rates, and equipment performance.
• Conduct wastewater sampling and coordinate laboratory testing as required.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and application of treatment chemicals.
• Maintain accurate daily operating logs, maintenance records, and monitoring reports.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, wastewater discharge standards, and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with Building Management Team regarding equipment malfunctions, maintenance, and operational concerns.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

About the role

The role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the treatment plant and compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor sewage treatment plant equipment, pumps, motors, blowers, and other related systems.

• Conduct daily inspections and monitor wastewater treatment processes to ensure efficient plant operations.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and minor repairs of STP equipment.

About you

• Graduate of any technical or vocational course, preferably related to Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or Industrial Technology.

• At least two (2) years of experience in sewage treatment plant operations, wastewater treatment, or related facility maintenance.

• Familiarity with STP equipment, wastewater treatment processes, and basic equipment troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of wastewater monitoring, chemical handling, and environmental safety procedures is an advantage.

• STP operation or wastewater treatment training or certification is an advantage.

• Able to maintain accurate operating records and monitoring reports.

• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.

• Willing to be assigned in Boracay Island.
