Job Summary:
The Setup Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the installation, commissioning, and deployment of EV charging stations. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with local regulations and company standards. The Setup Manager will collaborate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, utility providers, and customers to deliver a seamless charging infrastructure rollout.
Job Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Deployment
- Manage end-to-end setup and installation of EV charging stations at residential, commercial, and public locations.
- Develop project schedules, resource plans, and deployment timelines.
- Coordinate site assessments, feasibility studies, and technical requirements.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address delays or installation challenges.
Site Management
- Supervise site preparation, civil works, electrical works, and charger installation activities.
- Ensure all installations comply with safety standards, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks before commissioning.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Coordinate with contractors, electricians, utility companies, and equipment suppliers.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Manage procurement and delivery schedules for charging equipment and installation materials.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers and project stakeholders during deployment.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, sales, and customer service teams.
- Provide regular project status updates and reports to management.
Commissioning & Handover
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and activation of EV charging stations.
- Ensure successful system integration with network management platforms.
- Facilitate final project handover and customer acceptance.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Implement risk mitigation plans and conduct safety audits.
- Maintain required permits, documentation, and compliance records.
Budget & Performance Management
- Manage project budgets and installation costs.
- Track KPIs related to deployment efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational optimization.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in project deployment, construction management, electrical infrastructure, or EV charging installation.
- Experience managing multiple site installations and contractors.
- Knowledge of EV charging technologies (AC/DC chargers) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and charging infrastructure.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
