Job summary

Ascendion in the Philippines is seeking a ServiceNow developer to design, develop, and maintain applications on the ServiceNow platform, working with ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, and PPM modules.

You will customize modules, build workflows, integrate with external systems via REST and SOAP, ensure quality through testing, and document designs and deployment guides while collaborating with project managers, analysts, and admins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent).
• Strong ServiceNow development experience including customization and integration.
• Knowledge of ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, and PPM modules.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and web services (REST/SOAP).
• Experience with ServiceNow scripting: Glide API, UI Actions, Business Rules, Client Scripts.
• Relational databases and SQL queries.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

A ServiceNow developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications on the ServiceNow platform. The role of a ServiceNow developer involves working with clients or within an organization to understand their requirements and translating them into functional and technical solutions using the ServiceNow platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop applications on the ServiceNow platform based on business requirements and best practices.
• Customize and configure ServiceNow modules such as Incident Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, Service Portal, and Reporting.
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements, define workflows, and create functional specifications.
• Develop and maintain ServiceNow workflows, business rules, UI pages, UI macros, client scripts, and ACLs (Access Control Lists).
• Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications through web services, APIs, and middleware.
• Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and performance of ServiceNow applications.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, deployment guides, and standard operating procedures.

About you

• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL queries.
