Symbos is seeking an experienced SEO & Website Specialist to own the client’s SEO channel and oversee updates across its eCommerce platforms.

Reporting to the Digital Director, you will implement the established SEO strategy, perform keyword research, optimise product pages and content, and collaborate with marketing and content teams to improve search performance. This role emphasizes hands-on CMS updates rather than development.

Qualifications

Our client is an established provider of sustainable food packaging solutions across multiple international markets. Its products support businesses within the food service industry, with sustainability at the heart of what it does.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced SEO & Website Specialist to take ownership of the client’s SEO channel and manage ongoing website updates across its eCommerce platforms.

Working directly with the Digital Director, you will help execute an established SEO strategy, identify priorities, analyse performance and recommend improvements. You will also collaborate with product marketing and content teams to provide SEO guidance on product naming, keywords and website content.

This is not a programming or web development role. It is an SEO-led position for someone who understands how websites work and can confidently implement product, content and SEO updates through a CMS.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and manage the SEO roadmap in line with the established strategy
• Conduct keyword research and optimise metadata, product pages and website content
• Use SEMrush to identify opportunities, monitor performance and guide priorities
• Analyse SEO performance and provide clear insights and recommendations
• Support technical SEO improvements, including internal linking, image optimisation and website performance
• Update products, descriptions, images, landing pages and other content through the CMS
• Work with product marketing on product naming, keyword selection and content optimisation
• Prioritise tasks independently and report on progress, results and next steps

What We’re Looking For

• Strong professional experience in SEO, including keyword research, on‑page optimisation and technical SEO
• Experience with Shopify
• Confident working knowledge of SEMrush
• Experience analysing SEO performance and translating findings into practical actions
• Hands‑on experience updating websites through a CMS or eCommerce platform
• Understanding of website architecture and factors affecting search performance
• Strong organisation, prioritisation and reporting skills
• Ability to take ownership and work independently within a lean team

Nice to Have

• Hands‑on experience with Adobe Commerce or Magento
• Experience with Shopify or a similar eCommerce platform
• Experience supporting product‑focused or international websites
