We are thrilled to offer a unique opportunity to become an important part of the prestigious Asian Development Bank (ADB). At ADB, our mission is simple yet powerful: to alleviate poverty and promote sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region.

Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship. The position of Senior Workplace Hospitality Specialist is assigned to the Workplace Management and Hospitality Division (CSWH) within the Corporate Services Department (CSD). You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

You will report to the Director, CSWH and will oversee junior team members.

Your Role. As a Senior Workplace Hospitality Specialist, you will lead and enhance ADB's hospitality and event services by ensuring world-class user experiences and executive-level services, strategic vendor management, and seamless cross-functional delivery. While providing oversight across all hospitality functions– including events, catering, and selected staff amenities – the primary focus of the role will be on institutional event services and food and beverage operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership to the workplace hospitality unit, setting service direction aligned with global best practices and promoting flexible, innovative, and sustainable delivery models.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and evaluation of institutional, departmental, and client events – whether onsite, hybrid, or virtual – serving as the main liaison with stakeholders.
  • Oversee vendor engagement and performance management for events, catering, and other hospitality services, ensuring accountability and service quality.
  • Collaborate with ITD, security unit, and other internal/external partners to ensure technical and operational readiness for events.
  • Manage food and beverage services across ADB's Staff Hub, catering operations, executive dining, and pantry services, ensuring efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Provide high-level hospitality support for the Office of the President and senior Management, including official functions and residence-related needs.
  • Oversee selected staff amenities such as the commissary, cooperative store, personal banking counters/ATM, laundry and basic personal logistics services.
  • Manage budgets and contracts for hospitality services operations, ensuring compliance with contracts and agreed service levels and performance indicators, and understanding of plans, cost-effectiveness, and service standards.
  • Foster a culture of service excellence through benchmarking, process improvement, and staff development.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned and reflected in your workplan.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree, or equivalent in hospitality management, business administration, or related fields; or university degree and at least 5 years specialized experience relevant to the position can be considered.
  • At least 10 years' work experience in hospitality services, events management, or corporate services within large international or multicultural organizations.
  • International experience across multiple countries and contexts.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, managing service vendors, and overseeing large-scale events and catering operations.
  • Experience in strategic planning, service design, and operational innovation and excellence.
  • Exhibit stakeholder engagement and client service skills, including the ability to work collaboratively across departments in a multicultural business environment.
  • Experience in hybrid and virtual event formats. Familiarity with sustainability practices is advantageous.
  • Experience in budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Demonstrated people leadership, influencing, motivating, mentoring, and developing capabilities.
  • Excellent command of written and verbal communication skills in English.

Benefits. ADB offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. The salary will be based on ADB's standards and comparator markets, taking into account your qualifications and experience.
