Job summary

Keystone Bookkeepers in the Philippines seeks an experienced Tax Preparer / Project Manager to own the pre-tax preparation process for U.S. clients. You will review incoming tax documents, organize client files, prepare workpapers, and enter data into CCH Axcess Tax, ensuring readiness for U.S.

CPA review. You will coordinate with PH-based bookkeepers, manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules, and uphold tax workpaper standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of U.S. tax preparation experience.
• CPA license highly prioritized (not required).
• Strong understanding of financial statements and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with tax workpaper structure and documentation standards.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.

Responsibilities

• Own the pre-tax preparation process and review incoming tax documents.
• Organize client files and prepare tax workpapers for U.S. CPA review.
• Enter data into CCH Axcess Tax and coordinate with PH-based bookkeepers.

About the Role

Our client is a U.S.-based CPA firm seeking an experienced and proactive Tax Preparer / Project Manager based in the Philippines. This role is ideal for someone who has prior experience working in a U.S. tax firm and has a strong understanding of both tax preparation and accounting fundamentals.

You will own the pre-tax preparation process, including reviewing incoming tax documents, organizing client files, preparing tax workpapers, entering data into CCH Axcess Tax, coordinating with PH-based bookkeepers, managing fixed assets, and ensuring all supporting schedules are complete, accurate, and ready for U.S. CPA review.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of U.S. tax preparation experience
• CPA license highly prioritized (not required)

Hands-on experience with the following tools:

• CCH Axcess Tax
• CCH Fixed Assets
• SmartVault
• Karbon or other practice management systems
• QuickBooks Online and/or Xero

Strong understanding of:

• Financial statements and reconciliations
• Tax workpaper structure and documentation standards
