Job summary

Poppulo, a global leader in communications technology, is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer (Backend/Full Stack) focused on TypeScript. You will design, build and maintain production-grade web applications and services, guiding architectural decisions and mentoring engineers.

You will drive scalability, reliability and security, collaborate with DevOps, Platform teams, and Product Management, and leverage AI-enabled tooling to improve coding workflows. Remote-friendly across teams.

Qualifications

7+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong TypeScript fluency with significant experience building production web applications and services.
Experience with relational databases such as MySQL.
Experience with Docker, including container usage and basic troubleshooting.
Good understanding of networking concepts relevant to modern web and distributed applications.
Strong system design, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and deploy complex software solutions.
Lead technical design discussions and guide implementation approaches.
Lead the delivery of complex features and solutions across multiple contributors.
Contribute to architectural decisions and identify technical risks.
Drive modernisation and technical debt reduction within assigned systems.
Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure and aligned with business requirements.
