Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Traffic and Transportation Modeler to shape transport solutions across major projects in the region. You will develop microscopic and mesoscopic models using AIMSUN, calibrate models to TfNSW guidelines, and build SIDRA-based assessments.

You will also create data analytics pipelines using Python and collaborate with global teams. Role requires NSW transport modelling experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication to drive sustainable transport

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in transport modelling, preferably with NSW experience.
• Strong analytical skills for data-driven projects.
• Experience with traffic modelling tools (AIMSUN, VISSIM) and SIDRA.
• Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
• Passion for sustainable transport solutions and ongoing learning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop microscopic and mesoscopic models using AIMSUN.
• Lead calibration and validation of traffic models per local guidelines.
• Develop SIDRA models for detailed intersection assessment.
• Develop data analytics and Python scripting processes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Aurecon’s regions.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
