Job summary

Manulife is seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer specializing in Threat Modeling to join our Global Cybersecurity Services (GCS) team. In this role you will partner with engineering, architecture, product, and risk teams to identify design risks early and translate them into practical security requirements across the SDLC.

The role supports hybrid work with three onsite days per week at UP Ayala Technohub, Quezon City, and may require a late mid-shift or night shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in threat modeling, application security, security architecture, or related fields.
• Experience leading threat modeling or secure design reviews for apps, APIs, cloud-native systems, or third-party integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead threat modeling engagements for applications, APIs, cloud services, and integrations from design to implementation.
• Document system components, data flows, trust boundaries, dependencies and key assumptions with engineering teams.
• Translate threats into practical security requirements, design recommendations, and remediation actions, tracked to closure.
