Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Optum unit in the Philippines is seeking a proactive Project Coordinator to assist with portfolio and workforce management, budgeting, and project delivery. This on-site role supports capacity planning, status reporting, and coordination with technology teams.

You will work with program managers to track milestones, consolidate delivery status, and help drive projects to completion while aligning with organizational policies and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in project coordination or project management.
• Financial acumen with hands-on budgeting experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft tools (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Portfolio & Workforce Management Support
  • Maintain the accuracy of capacity planning tools and follow up on exceptions related to new requisition allocations and staffing changes, including attrition, backfills, and new resources
  • Review requisition submissions for accuracy, identify and resolve discrepancies with submitters, and perform standard validation checks based on established criteria
  • Respond to requisition creation inquiries and provide guidance as needed
  • Prepare and provide regular status updates and exception reports to leadership
  • Perform data entry, tracking, and analysis to support portfolio and workforce management activities
  • Support capacity and demand forecasting activities and planning cycles
• Technology Program & Project Management Support
  • Support Technology Program and Project Managers with day-to-day program and project management activities
  • Track key milestones and collaborate with project teams to execute against detailed project plans, dependencies, and predecessors
  • Capture and consolidate delivery status to support stakeholder communications, including progress, obstacles, dependencies, and risks
  • Partner with program leads to identify gaps, issues, and areas requiring follow-up
  • Support PPM Optics project setup and maintain allocation changes
• Project Delivery
  • Manage lightweight projects by developing project plans, defining key milestones, coordinating activities, and driving delivery to completion
• Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in project coordination or project management
• Financial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting and budget tracking
• Familiarity with Microsoft tools
• Proven solid written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project management training and/or certifications
• Familiarity with Copilot or other AI-related tools
• Understanding of demand and capacity forecasting
