The role supervises staff, supports audits, and stay updated on regulatory changes. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive tax experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with financial software and spreadsheets.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have at least 5 years of progressive tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, practices, and reporting standards.
• Proficient in using financial software and spreadsheet applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and review the preparation and filing of tax returns and related schedules.
• Ensure timely compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Review tax calculations, supporting documents, and reconciliations.
• Monitor and interpret changes in tax laws, regulations, and BIR issuances.
• Assist in handling tax audits, assessments, and inquiries from government agencies.
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding tax-related matters and documentation requirements.
• Provide guidance and technical support to tax staff and accounting personnel.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls, and compliance procedures.
• Maintain accurate tax records and ensure proper documentation of tax transactions.
• Prepare reports and analyses for management as required.
