Job summary

BruntWork is seeking a Senior Tax Preparer / Tax Advisor to join our growing team remotely. The role focuses on expanding from tax preparation to proactive planning and advisory services, handling complex returns, and assisting clients with tax questions.

Ideal candidates have strong tax preparation experience, English communication skills, and the ability to work full-time during U.S. Central Time Zone hours.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience in tax preparation and tax compliance.
• Experience preparing and reviewing individual and/or business tax returns.
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax requirements.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
• Ability to work full-time during U.S. Central Time Zone hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, individual, and corporate tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Analyze financial and tax information to identify potential issues, inconsistencies, and opportunities.
• Ensure tax filings are complete, accurate, and submitted within established deadlines.
• Develop and apply tax planning strategies under established methodologies.
• Identify opportunities to help clients proactively manage their tax liabilities.
• Support clients with tax-related questions and provide clear, practical guidance.
• Develop your knowledge of more advanced tax planning and advisory strategies.
