Job summary

TOA Global is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant in the Philippines to lead high-level Australian tax engagements. You will prepare financial statements, advise on CGT/FBT, and manage lodgments for multiple clients across the Eagle group, using Xero and cloud tools. Strong English communication and deadlines are essential.

You will work a 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM shift in Clark, Cebu, Manila, or Tarlac with competitive compensation and opportunities for career growth into advisory roles.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of dedicated experience in Australian tax accounting.
  • CPA, CA, or tax-specific qualifications are essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in Xero and Xero Practice Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage highly accurate financial statements, working papers, and annual tax returns.
  • Provide expert advice on CGT, FBT, and complex Income Tax obligations.
  • Lead lodgment program and manage multiple client portfolios with precision.
  • Resolve complex tax matters, including international dealings and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Eagle group using Teams and cloud-based tools.

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you are an elite technical authority in Australian taxation. This role is designed for a veteran practitioner who possesses the deep strategic insight required to navigate complex tax landscapes. You won't just be preparing returns; you will be managing high-stakes compliance-from Div7A and international dealings to R&D incentives-ensuring that every client portfolio is optimized, compliant, and delivered to the highest professional standards.

Your Impact

Technical Mastery & Strategy: Prepare and manage highly accurate financial statements, working papers, and annual tax returns. You will apply advanced knowledge of Australian taxation to provide expert advice on Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), and complex Income Tax obligations.

Complex Issue Troubleshooting: Serve as the go-to expert for resolving intricate tax matters, including bucket company obligations, UPE management, and international tax dealings. You ensure all strategies align with the latest ATO rulings and industry best practices.

Portfolio & Lodgment Leadership: Take ownership of the lodgment program, ensuring work is delivered without delays. This includes proactively chasing necessary working papers and managing multiple client portfolios with surgical precision.

Digital Workflow Excellence: Utilize Xero and Xero Practice Manager to their full potential. You will manage data via OneDrive and Outlook, utilizing advanced Excel for deep data analysis and reporting.

Collaborative Liaison: Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and accountants within the Eagle group. You have the confidence to articulate complex tax concepts and resolve technical queries through Microsoft Teams and professional correspondence.

Process Innovation: Identify and implement efficiencies in tax workflows. You are encouraged to leverage technology to improve accuracy and streamline software usage across the team.

What You Bring

The Experience: Minimum 5 years of dedicated experience in Australian tax accounting. You have a proven track record of handling high-level tax compliance and complex strategies for a variety of entities.

The Credentials: CPA, CA, or tax-specific qualifications are essential. You must have a comprehensive understanding of Australian accounting standards.

Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Xero, Xero Practice Manager, and the Microsoft Office Suite. You are comfortable using PDF editor tools and managing digital documentation in a cloud-based environment.

The Mindset: Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. You are a self-motivated professional who can meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities independently.

Communication Prowess: Excellent verbal and written English skills. You must be able to explain sophisticated tax strategies to stakeholders and maintain professional relationships across global teams.
