We are seeking Accountants with Australian public practice experience to join our growing team. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting and tax compliance services to Australian clients while ensuring accuracy and adherence to AU standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to resolve accounting and tax issues.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Australian accounting standards.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum experience in Australian tax and compliance accounting required:
- Senior: 5+ years of relevant experience
- Mid-Level: 3–4 years of experience
- Junior: 1–2 years of experience
- Proficiency in AU accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, HandiSoft, APS, or similar)
Tax Accountant
Tax Compliance & Reporting:
- Prepare and file BIR tax returns (e.g., VAT, Income Tax, Withholding Tax, Expanded Withholding Tax, Fringe Benefits Tax)
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings
- Maintain organized tax records and documentation for audit readiness
- Assist in preparing tax provisions for financial statements under Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)
- Support monthly and annual tax accruals and reconciliations
- Analyze tax implications of business transactions and provide internal recommendations
- Coordinate with external auditors and BIR examiners during tax audits and assessments
- Respond to BIR queries and ensure compliance with audit requirements
- Monitor changes in tax laws and assess implications for the company
Process Improvement & Collaboration:
- Develop and implement improvements in tax workflows and internal controls
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure tax compliance across departments
- Provide internal guidance on tax-related matters such as employee benefits, intercompany transactions, and import/export taxes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
- CPA preferred, or equivalent qualification; familiarity with BIR regulations and processes required
- 2 - 4 years tax experience in the Philippines
- Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR eFPS/eBIRForms, and PFRS
- Detail-oriented, proactive, strong communication and leadership skills
