Optum is seeking a Senior Systems Management Analyst to join our global payroll team. This role focuses on Workday Payroll configuration, processing support, and ongoing system enhancements to ensure accurate and timely payroll across client accounts.

The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, resolve complex payroll issues, and participate in quarterly release reviews. 4+ years of Workday Payroll experience and willingness to align with US business hours are required.

• Hands-on configuration and support for Workday Payroll.
• Experience with EIBs, reports and calculated fields.
• Strong understanding of payroll concepts, earnings, deductions, and taxation.
• Familiarity with Workday business objects and security.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work in US business hours.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Compliance with both Optum and client business unit requirements
• Support Workday Payroll configuration including earnings, deductions, taxes and payroll calculations
• Assist in payroll processing, payroll validation and reconciliation activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related system and configuration issues
• Participate in Workday quarterly release reviews and payroll enhancements

  Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Workday Payroll experience
  • Worked as a Technical Consultant, or Developer, Configurator)
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll configuration and support
  • Experience with EIBs, reports and calculated fields
  • Solid understanding of payroll processing, earnings, deductions and taxation concepts
  • Understanding of Workday business objects and security concepts
  • Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Willingness to work in US business hours
