Job summary

Advanced Energy in Cavite, Philippines seeks a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (Electrical/Electronics) to evaluate supplier capabilities and ensure quality standards. You will report to the Senior Quality Manager and drive supplier selection, audits, and corrective actions.

Requirements include 3–5 years in SQE within electronics, a bachelor’s in electronic/electrical engineering, and experience with SPC/FMEA/8D; Six Sigma is preferred. Some travel to Rosario, Cavite is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics manufacturing process and quality control.
• Experience with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, 8D; Six Sigma green/black belt preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO procedures and RoHS.
• Some travel will be required.
• Good oral and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of commodity strategy by working with commodity groups.
• Ensure approved suppliers conform to Supplier Quality System requirements and drive continuous improvement.
• Review and respond to SCB/PCN timely.
• Audit key suppliers and prepare audit reports.
• Participate in MRB and provide corrective actions for defective materials.
• Provide knowledge transfer training to new suppliers on AE requirements and processes.
• Prepare QBR/PBR for Quality and attend.
• Regularly review FMEA and SPM with vendors for improvement and control.
• Review, track and analyze annual quality data and develop QIP.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (Electrical/Electronics) provides technical representation and support in supplier selection by evaluating suppliers’ technical capabilities and capacity to meet AE requirements. Conducts comprehensive technical assessments to ensure suppliers can deliver products and services at the required quality standards. This role will report to the Senior Quality Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in development of commodity strategy by working closely with commodity groups.
• Ensures that approved suppliers conform to all conditions defined in our Supplier Quality System Manual and provide evidence of continuous improvement in the quality of their output.
• Review and respond to the SCB/PCN timely.
• Audit key suppliers regularly and prepare the audit report.
• Performs as a team member of the Material Review Board (MRB), reviews Discrepant Material Reports (DMR) and provides corrective actions for any/all defective material that may be received from approved suppliers.
• Provide "Knowledge Transfer" training to all new suppliers to ensure they are fully understood AE requirement and business process.
• Prepare QBR/PBR for the Quality section and attend.
• Regular review FMEA and SPM (Supplier Process Management Plan) with vendors to ensure improvement and process control are in place.
• Review, track, and analyze annual quality data and provide QIP (Quality Improvement Plan).

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3~5 years of SQE working experience of electrical or electronics industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in electronic & electrical / mechanical engineering or science/ Physics.
• Experience in the electronics manufacturing process and quality control. Ceramic Substrate, Semiconductor, Passive or E-Mech (switch, relay, circuit breaker, connectors, fuse, batteries, DC Fans) are preferred.
• Experience in the quality tools application such as SPC, FMEA, 8D and etc., preferably Six Sigma green belt/ black belt certified.
• Knowledge of ISO procedure and RoHS.
• Experience in auditing, qualifying, and selecting suppliers.
• Some travel will be required.
• Good oral and writing communication skills in English.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficient in other Microsoft applications.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Experienced in related measurement equipment.
• Willing to be assigned in Rosario, Cavite
