Job summary

Fabtech Export Industries, Inc. is seeking a Structural Steel Fitter to lay out, fit, align, and assemble structural steel components per drawings and project specs. The role ensures accurate preparation for welding, bolting, and installation with a focus on quality and safety.

Applicants with 3 years' experience are preferred. The position is based in Makati, Philippines, with opportunities to advance and promotion to permanent employee. PPE compliance is required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of steel fitter experience preferred.
• Ability to read structural drawings.
• Commitment to safety and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret structural steel fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and erection details
• Perform minor grinding, cutting, and preparation work as required
• Assemble steel sections, plates, connections, and built-up members according to approved drawings
• Check dimensions, elevations, squareness, alignment, and tolerances before welding or final assembly
• Use measuring and layout tools such as tape measures, levels, squares, plumb bobs, and other fitting equipment
• Follow company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Inspect materials and assembly to the projects
• Coordinate with welders, riggers and other project related position
• Perform layout, marking, measuring, and fitting of structural steel members and components
