Job summary

SMEC (An SJ Group Company) in the Philippines seeks a Civil/Geotechnical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to lead design and review for marine and coastal infrastructure. You will supervise a design team and coordinate with construction management to meet quality standards and project deadlines.

Responsibilities include soil investigation, geotechnical analysis, and structural design from foundations to above-ground works, using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Plaxis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant civil engineering experience in large-scale infrastructure/reclamation projects.
• Experience in coordinating design activities and leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all structural/geotechnical design and design review activities for the project.
• Coordinate with design/construction management teams to facilitate progress.
• Manage a team of design engineers and provide guidance for project delivery.
• Prepare/approve design-related letters and coordinate with construction management.
• Provide engineering services for marine facilities including soil investigation, field tests and lab work.
