Job summary

iScale Solutions in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to lead the software quality and reliability initiatives across cloud and on-prem environments. You will design runbooks, implement SLOs/SLIs, and drive post-incident reviews to continuously improve system resilience.

You will collaborate with development and operations teams to build observable, scalable services, adopt IaC practices, and automate incident detection and response using modern tooling.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years as an SRE in cloud-based or mixed environments.
• Deep understanding of Linux, networking, and systems administration.
• Experience with AWS and container orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the SRE function to ensure reliability of software products and client implementations.
• Define and manage SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, and uptime targets (99.9%+).
• Design and implement observability across systems using modern tools (tracing, metrics, logging).
• Automate incident detection/response and conduct blameless postmortems for continuous improvement.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code practices with Terraform, Pulumi, or similar.
