Job summary

Tavor Perry is seeking a Senior Solar and Battery Permitting and Interconnection Specialist to own permitting and utility interconnection for solar and battery projects in Texas and California. You will manage submissions, corrections, and approvals from initial filing to PTO, keeping every project status current and ready for operation.

You will use utility portals to retrieve requirements, coordinate with AHJs, and translate complex requirements into actionable steps for installers and PMs,

Qualifications

• Hands-on permitting and interconnection experience in TX and CA.
• Proven track record moving projects through final approval to PTO.
• Experience with Oncor, CenterPoint, AEP Texas, TNMP, PG&E, SCE, SDG&E.
• Familiar with multiple AHJs and ability to learn new jurisdictions independently.
• Proficient with permit packages, site plans, single-line diagrams, and inspection records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, monitor, and follow up permit/interconnection applications through final PTO.
• Use utility/AHJ portals to retrieve correspondence and track requirements.
• Take over stalled applications and define steps to move forward.
• Translate requirements into clear instructions for installers and project teams.
• Verify field work evidence and submit to the right party with deadlines.
• Coordinate with utilities, permitting offices, inspectors, and internal teams.
• Review permits, site plans, and diagrams to catch missing information and coordinate corrections.
• Keep project files up to date with status, blockers, and next actions.
• Report status with clear progression from submitted to authorized to operate.
