Job summary

Nike is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Store Engineering team in building and supporting checkout platforms with offline capabilities and scalable integrations across global markets.

You will develop cloud-native microservices, integrate pricing, promotions, and tax engines, and drive DevOps practices to ensure low latency, high availability, and reliability for millions of transactions worldwide.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Experience in AWS cloud environment.
• Java with Spring Boot framework (mandatory).
• Experience with Node.js and Golang.
• Demonstrate an AI-first mindset, actively leveraging AI powered developer tools.
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins) and GitHub workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend cloud-native microservices.
• Collaborate with product teams to design scalable retail store systems and services.
• Write clean, tested, and well-documented code and review peers.
• Stay current with industry trends and contribute to innovation features.
• Participate in sprint planning and Scrum ceremonies, planning and executing tickets.
• Own build, test, release, and production support for team capabilities.
• Implement observability and readiness using Splunk and SignalFx.
