Job summary

Rising Tide Digital, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable software solutions. You will collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to deliver reliable systems.

You will lead architectural discussions, mentor junior developers, and ensure security and CI/CD best practices while participating in sprint planning to translate business needs into technical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Life, Group, or Health Insurance core applications.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or Go.
• Experience with microservices and REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Preferred: Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) development and configuration (Product Setup, Claims, etc.).
• Preferred: Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications.
• Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Write clean, well-documented code.
• Review code and mentor junior and mid-level developers.
• Collaborate with product and QA to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and improve system reliability and scalability.
• Ensure best practices in security, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.
