Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking a software engineer to help build next-generation mapping and geospatial capabilities within the Geo team.

You will work on scalable systems powering Google Maps, Earth, Street View, and Maps Platform, collaborating across disciplines to deliver AI-enhanced navigation and rich user experiences. Candidates should have strong full-stack development experience, proficiency in multiple languages, and a passion for translating complex data into intuitive products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development experience.
• 3 years of full stack development with back-end Java/Python/Golang/C++ and front-end Kotlin/JS/TypeScript/HTML.
• 3 years of testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of software design and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Partner closely with clients to scale mobility tools through integrations.
• Lead design reviews to define requirements and co-create AI-powered capabilities for Maps experiences.
• Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
• Establish quality benchmarks and advocate platform-wide enhancements.
