Job summary

Maya is seeking a backend-focused software engineer with 5-7+ years of experience to design, implement, and operate production-grade systems in a backend-heavy role. You will work with Java and Spring Boot, build RESTful APIs, and leverage AWS for cloud-native solutions in a Mandaluyong, Metro Manila setting.

You will lead medium-to-large projects end-to-end, collaborating across product, quality, SRE, and other teams to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in CS/IT/CE or equivalent.
• 5-7+ years software development experience in production-grade backend systems.
• Solid Java and OO programming with Spring Boot experience.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and cloud-based development with AWS.
• Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with microservices or distributed systems is a plus.
• Kubernetes or containerized deployments are a plus.
