Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Trainer who thrives in building innovative software solutions while shaping and mentoring the next generation of developers. This unique role combines hands-on technical leadership with a strong focus on training, coaching, and guiding interns and future engineers.
As a senior member of our team, you will design and deliver scalable systems across AI-powered tools, greenfield initiatives, and internal R&D projects, while also leading technical bootcamps, monitoring progress, and influencing the career growth of junior engineers.

Responsibilities:
Development & Projects
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable software solutions for various initiatives.
- Take ownership of architectural decisions, technical strategy, and best practices.
- Drive the implementation of AI-powered tools, greenfield projects, and internal R&D efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Ensure high code quality, security, and adherence to engineering standards.
Training & Mentorship
- Lead bootcamps, workshops, and technical training sessions for interns and junior engineers.
- Provide structured mentorship through code reviews, pair programming, and career coaching.
- Develop and continuously refine learning materials, coding exercises, and project-based modules.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
- Identify skill gaps and proactively design training interventions to bridge them.
Leadership & Growth
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, with increasing leadership responsibilities.
- Proven experience leading projects, mentoring engineers, or training technical talent.
- Deep proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript (required); experience with additional languages such as C/C++, Rust, Python, or Java is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable system design.
- Solid experience with relational databases (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated passion for both engineering excellence and talent development.
Qualifications:
- Amenable to work in a hybrid set up in OneAyala, Makati City, Metro Manila.
- 1–3 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Prior teaching, mentoring, or training experience is a big plus.
- Deep proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript (required); experience with additional languages such as C/C++, Rust, Python or Java is a plus.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and methodologies such as Agile/Scrum.
- Experience working with relational databases (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Passion for learning and teaching in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with modern frameworks and libraries (React, Next.js, Node.js, SST, Tailwind, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML-powered applications and Agentic AI workflows.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of Amazon Bedrock, Strands and Fine-tuning is a plus.
- Prior experience mentoring interns or junior engineers.
