Job summary

iScale Solutions is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, build, and maintain robust frameworks and internal tools that boost engineering efficiency and product quality. You will partner with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and deliver scalable automation, including Generative AI-powered solutions for testing and development.

The role requires leadership, hands-on coding, and a strong background in CI/CD, cloud platforms, and containerization to improve reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of professional software development with a track record delivering high-quality frameworks or tooling.
• Automation/framework design experience.
• CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks knowledge.
• Generative AI applied to engineering challenges (test generation, code analysis, developer assistance).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Cloud platforms experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Docker and Kubernetes experience.

Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Product) to identify productivity bottlenecks and deliver scalable solutions.

Build custom applications and automation to streamline development processes, testing workflows, and infrastructure support.

Lead the integration of Generative AI technologies to accelerate development, testing, and support activities.

Ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of all frameworks and tools.

Provide technical leadership and hands-on coding, influencing the design and architecture of automation and productivity solutions.

Troubleshoot and optimize existing frameworks and tools to minimize downtime and improve performance.

Monitor and report key metrics to measure the impact of productivity initiatives.

Stay up to date on industry trends, with a focus on AI-driven engineering tools and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

6+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of delivering high-quality frameworks or tooling.

Proven experience designing and implementing automation frameworks or developer productivity tools.

Solid understanding of software development best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.

Experience applying Generative AI to real-world engineering challenges (e.g., test generation, code analysis, developer assistance).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across engineering and product teams.

Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and modern infrastructure practices.

Strong interest in developer experience and continuous improvement.
