Job summary

Glass Lewis is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Manila team. You will design and develop fast, scalable websites using Vue and other client-side libraries, covering the full SDLC for enterprise applications.

The role is full-time and hybrid from the Manila office, requiring in-person attendance three days a week. Prior experience with UI design and scalable architectures is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Grooming, Planning, Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives).
• Design, develop and maintain the UX for enterprise apps in an Agile setting.
• Ensure responsive implementation.
• Contribute to architecture, design and coding of next-gen web solutions.
• Implement reusable UI components for scalability.
• Collaborate with developers, designers and analysts to solve problems.
• Assist in deployment of releases and patches to production.
• Be available for production support on a rotational basis.
• Mentor team members and help them progress in their careers.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Manila, Philippines. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, excellent time-management and interpersonal skills, and a passion for developing fast and scalable websites. The candidate should be able to design and develop intuitive user interfaces that meet business requirements using Vue and other client-side libraries. Candidates must have experience with all levels of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for enterprise level applications.

This role is full-time and hybrid based out of our Manila office, with regular in-person attendance three days a week.

• Degree in computer science or equivalent with a minimum of 5-7 years' experience in software development.

Core

• AI-assisted coding tools (e.g. Claude, GitHub Co-Pilot)
• Java, Spring Boot
• Vue
• AWS, including event-driven design (SQS/SNS)
• Git workflow
• Unit testing frameworks
• Code review

Secondary stack (working fluency expected)

• Azure equivalents of core AWS services
• Azure DecOps pipelines/boards
• C#/.NET
• Experience in working with onshore/offshore teams
• Experience with OAuth and OpenID
• Experience with API services
• Knowledge of Dependency Injection and writing testable code
• Experience implementing features in applications by leveraging design patterns
• Strong documentation and communication skills

• Implement UI component design focused on re-usability / scalability / extensibility.
• Collaborate with fellow developers, designers and analysts to solve problems.
• Assist in the deployment of releases and patches into the production environment.
• Be available out-of-business hours for production support on a rotational basis.
• Managing teams and mentoring team members and enabling them to progress in their careers.
