Qualifications

• A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of software development experience in the technology industry.
• Experience with C# / .NET, SQL, REST APIs, NPM, and serverless functions (Azure Functions).
• Nice to have frontend development and BI tool experience (Power BI, Databricks).

• Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable software across frontend, backend, API, and data layers.

Job TitleSenior Software Development Engineer (C#.Net / MS SQL) The Senior Software Development Engineer is an experienced engineer who drives technical excellence throughout the software development lifecycle. The role is responsible for translating business requirements into robust technical solutions, contributing to solution and design decisions, performing complex software development tasks, and supporting the successful delivery of customer engagements. The position also promotes engineering best practices, code quality, and continuous improvement across project teams.

In This Role You’ll / Your Main Responsibilities

• Be part of an Agile Scrum team of technical, functional, and business domain experts to design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable, digital solutions across frontend, backend, API, integration, and data layers.
• Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, providing technical input and recommendations.
• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain solutions, including responsive user interfaces, backend services, APIs, integrations, and database components, following Navitaire architecture, security, and coding standards.
• Translate designs and wireframes into responsive, accessible, performant, and maintainable application experiences, integrating frontend components with backend services and APIs.
• Provide support during deployments, releases, and production implementation activities.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues in accordance with team processes and service level objectives.
• Functional testing and using and/or writing diagnostic programs to ensure optimal performance of developed solutions.
• Build deep functional expertise in assigned customer projects, the Navitaire Reservation System, and the Navitaire Digital Platform.
• Assess and improve application and database performance, scalability, reliability, observability, and security, including database monitoring and query tuning where applicable.
• Contribute to reusable frameworks, accelerators, reference implementations, and engineering best practices that improve delivery efficiency.
• Contribute in training and assisting scrum/project teammates in various aspects of the work.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve developer productivity, accelerate solution delivery, enhance code quality, and identify innovative customer solutions.
• Evaluate opportunities to incorporate AI-powered capabilities, automation, and intelligent solutions into customer engagements where appropriate.

About The Ideal Candidate

• Must possess a university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of software development experience in the Technology industry.
• Experience in developing applications particularly using some of the following libraries and technologies:
  • C# / .NET
  • SQL
  • REST APIs
  • NPM
  • Serverless functions (preferably) Azure Functions.
• Nice to have:
  • Web application development experience using modern frontend technologies and frameworks.
  • Reporting, business intelligence, and analytics technologies, such as SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI, or Databricks
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools and engineering productivity solutions to improve software quality, accelerate development activities, enhance troubleshooting, and drive innovation.
• Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to continuously learn and adopt emerging AI technologies, including Generative AI, AI-assisted software development, intelligent agents, and automation capabilities, to improve engineering outcomes and customer value.
• Comfortable in working in an Agile environment that promotes active communication, feedback, and flexibility.
• Comfortable in working directly with colleagues, stakeholders and customers from different cultures
• Team player with high initiative and the ability to learn and become proficient quickly as technologies and priorities change.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
