Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Senior SIEM Engineer for Cybersecurity Detection within the CISOC. You will develop and enhance SIEM/XDR use cases, automate detection, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen cyber defenses.

The role requires hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise Security or Microsoft Sentinel, scripting in Python/PowerShell/Bash, API integrations, and reporting in ServiceNow. Excellent English and a proactive, multinational mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing SIEM/XDR use cases.
• Proficient in Python, PowerShell or Bash scripting.
• Experience with API integrations.
• Experience with BAS threat creation.
• Experience with reporting/ticketing platforms like ServiceNow.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Implement new security use cases on the SIEM/XDR.
• Fine-tune use cases to reduce false positives.
• Develop scripts and integrations for SIEM/XDR.
• Maintain existing scripts and integrations.
• Support simulated threat testing to improve use cases.
• Collaborate with security teams to enhance detection capabilities.
• Produce reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Ensure documentation follows SOPs.
• Present monitoring status to technology SMEs and management.
