Job summary

TetraScience, Inc. is seeking a Principal Informatics Architect who bridges scientific meaning with software reality. You will help build semantic, modeling, and ontology services, enabling rigorous data and scalable architectures within the Tetra Data Platform.

You will partner with engineers and scientists to formalize vocabularies and enable integration across the ecosystem, driving standards and governance in a highly collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s+ in Informatics (Clinical, Health, Bio, Chem, or related field) or equivalent.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with production code.
• Experience building and exchanging data in standard models (FHIR, OMOP, etc.).
• Strong SOA or microservices background with data contract evolution.
• Hands-on vocabulary and ontology management using standard terminologies.

Responsibilities

• Engineer semantic services and SOA components for semantic data lifecycles.
• Develop ETL pipelines to lift data into formal vocabularies and ontologies.
• Contribute to living ontology development across the Tetra ecosystem.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and business leads on governance of vocabularies.
• Define data exchange standards for syntactic and semantic interoperability.
