Job summary

Maersk Filipinas Crewing Inc. is seeking a competent Second Engineer with seagoing experience to join our technically advanced container vessels with the best and latest machinery.

A key position in the engine department aboard one of the world’s largest container shipping companies, where seafarers are onboarded and equipped to perform and contribute to vessel commitments. Emphasis on health, safety, diversity, and upright practice.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months seatime in rank.
• At least one contract as Senior Engineer with UMS and 20000 BHP of relevant engine types.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and reliable operation of the vessel with officers' knowledge.
• Maintain all machinery in engine room as per PMS and Chief Engineer directions.
• Instruct and supervise crew in safety, firefighting and lifesaving equipment.
• Prepare and monitor work plans for engineers and ratings.
• Communicate effectively to ensure efficient teamwork.
