Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a Senior SDET / Senior Automation Engineer (Tosca) to join our QA and Engineering teams in the Philippines. The role focuses on implementing automated test solutions using Tricentis Tosca and Python, driving test automation across enterprise applications.

You will design, develop, and maintain automated tests, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with developers, analysts, and product owners to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Automation Testing or SDET roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca (mandatory).
• Solid experience developing automation solutions using Python.
• Experience with API testing and validation using REST APIs and tools such as Postman.
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and defect management processes.
• Working knowledge of SQL and database testing is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca.
• Develop automation solutions and supporting scripts using Python.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and API testing.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and support issue resolution.
• Contribute to test strategy, automation best practices, and quality improvement initiatives.
