Job summary

NRI Australia & New Zealand is looking for a seasoned SAP PM/MM Functional Consultant to deliver secure, scalable SAP solutions across energy and utilities client environments.

You will translate requirements into fit-to-standard configurations, manage end-to-end maintenance and materials management processes, and collaborate with Maintenance, Operations and Procurement teams to ensure reliable service delivery within an ITIL-managed framework.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SAP PM and MM on ECC in production environments.
• Experience with end-to-end PM–MM integration and cross-module interfaces.
• Ability to translate requirements into functional specs and configurations.
• Strong testing, deployment, and production support skills.
• Documentation of configurations, SOPs and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional consulting and support for SAP PM/MM across incidents, service requests, and small enhancements.
• Configure and maintain SAP PM functions (equipment, task lists, maintenance plans, notifications, work orders, confirmations, settlement).
• Configure and support SAP MM functions (material master, procurement processes, goods receipt, invoicing basics, MRP touchpoints).
• Enable end-to-end maintenance execution with materials/services: planning, reservation, procurement, issue/return, cost capture to orders/WBS/cost centres.
• Support plant maintenance and stores integration (catalogues, spare parts strategy, re-ordering, valuation and inventory processes).
• Prepare functional specs for enhancements and coordinate with ABAP/tech teams.
• Execute/testing: unit/SIT/UAT, defect triage, cutover planning, release deployment; create test scripts and training materials.
• Production support including root cause analysis and user assistance; coordinate with Basis/security for access issues.
• Maintain functional docs (workbooks, SOPs/runbooks, process maps) and provide knowledge transfer.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities (mobility/Fiori adoption, automation) and contribute to releases.
