Job summary

Ren Ci Hospital is seeking a Safety Officer to oversee comprehensive safety management, risk assessment, and compliance within the workplace in the Philippines. The role involves inspections, policy development, incident investigation, and ensuring adherence to Workplace Safety and Health regulations and industry best practices.

You will conduct safety trainings, maintain records, and support emergency response planning and compliance initiatives across the hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health regulations, statutory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Ability to conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Capability to develop and deliver safety training and awareness programmes.
• Experience in maintaining records of safety training, inspections, audits, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Ability to communicate safety policies to employees and management.
• Capability to develop emergency response and business continuity plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular workplace and environmental inspections to identify hazards.
• Develop, implement, and review safety policies and procedures.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, dangerous occurrences, and near-miss events.
• Analyze safety data to identify trends and preventive measures.
• Identify, assess, and evaluate workplace risks and hazards.
• Develop and implement risk control measures.
• Conduct safety induction programmes for new employees.
• Deliver safety training and awareness programmes for staff.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations and statutory requirements.
• Conduct internal safety audits and compliance assessments.
• Coordinate, develop and implement emergency response plans.
• Provide secretariat support to safety-related committees.
