Global Health Strategies (GHS) is building a Southeast Asia practice and seeks a Senior Advisor to serve as the company’s face to government, multilateral and philanthropic partners in Singapore and the region. The role emphasizes government relations, client advisory, and new business development with a leadership lens for a growing team.

The candidate will bring deep global health expertise, established relationships with senior officials, and a track record of growing client engagements

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in global health, public health policy, government affairs, or strategic communications.
• Established trusted relationships with senior officials in Singapore and regional health institutions.
• Strong understanding of the global health landscape including funders, multilaterals, and policy processes (WHO, WHA, G20 health tracks).
• Proven track record of winning and growing client relationships or funded programs.
• Excellent written and spoken English to communicate with ministers, funders, and media.
• Experience in agency, consultancy, foundation, or multilateral settings.
• Networks across ASEAN countries beyond Singapore.
• Languages such as Mandarin, Malay, or Bahasa Indonesia.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with senior officials including the Ministry of Health and other relevant ministries and agencies.
• Engage regional bodies, academic and research institutions, and global health organizations based in or active across Southeast Asia.
• Position GHS and its clients as trusted partners on regional and global health priorities.
• Practice leadership and growth; advise on strategy for the Singapore practice including priority clients issues and service offerings.
• Support the identification, proposal and pitch process to win new business with governments, foundations, multilaterals, NGOs and private sector partners.
• Client advisory and delivery: serve as senior counsel to clients on policy advocacy, strategic communications, coalition building and high-level events.
• Advise on the design and delivery of campaigns ensuring quality, impact and on time, on budget execution.
• Team building and global collaboration: support the development of a high performing local team.
• Work closely with GHS offices worldwide to deliver multi-country programs and share regional insight.
