Job summary

TransUnion Philippines is seeking a Sr Engineer, Applications Development to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React.js, TypeScript, Next.js, and Remix. You will drive architecture decisions, set development standards, mentor engineers, and ensure applications meet high standards of quality, security, accessibility, and performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 5+ years building production React.js applications.
• Experience designing scalable front-end architectures for enterprise applications.
• Experience in building SPAs and server-rendered apps.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience mentoring developers and providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable front-end architectures using React.js and TypeScript.
• Develop enterprise-grade web applications with Next.js and Remix.
• Audit and optimize performance, Core Web Vitals, and bundle sizes.
• Create, document, and maintain reusable UI components and design system assets.
• Establish clean data flows using Redux Toolkit, NgRx, Zustand, Context API, or similar.
• Integrate front-end apps with RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Lead code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
• Develop and maintain automated testing strategies (unit/integration/e2e).
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to deliver accessible, responsive experiences.
• Partner with DevOps to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Mentor junior/mid developers through pairing and coaching.
• Participate in architectural discussions and technology evaluations.
• Ensure security, privacy, accessibility, and regulatory compliance.
