Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related commercial discipline.
• 3+ years of progressive quantity surveying experience within the construction industry, with a strong background in handling complex commercial/residential projects or heavy infrastructure.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software, cost-estimating databases, CAD measuring tools, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of contract law, negotiation tactics, risk management, and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimating & Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQ, and project budgets during pre-tender and bidding stages.
• Tender & Procurement Management: Evaluate tender submissions, analyze subcontractor and supplier bids, and assist in drafting, negotiating, and awarding contracts.
• Cost Control & Financial Reporting: Monitor expenditures, forecast cash flows, manage variations, and prepare CVR and financial reports.
• Contract Administration: Administer contractual claims, EOT requests, and dispute resolutions.
• Valuation & Payments: Assess subcontractor interim valuations, review progress billing, and certify payments.
• Final Account Settlement: Prepare, negotiate, and finalize final accounts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors and commercial staff.
