Job summary

Citicon Ready Mix & Const. Inc. in Batangas is seeking a Senior Quality Control Engineer to oversee QC for its ready mix concrete operations at the batching plants in Malvar or Tuy. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree plus 8+ years in RMC, including 5+ years in QC and strong knowledge of mix design and testing standards.

The successful candidate will lead QC teams, ensure accurate testing, and maintain documentation while coordinating with Operations to address quality concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 8+ years in the ready mix concrete industry.
• 5+ years in QC for Ready Mix Concrete (RMC).
• Knowledge of mix design, raw material evaluation, and concrete testing methods per ASTM/ACI/DPWH standards.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement concrete quality standards, codes, and the company QC procedures.
• Conduct visual and physical inspections of concrete mixes and raw materials, evaluating and adjusting as necessary.
• Supervise and guide QC personnel in daily testing and reporting; train on concrete tests (slump, air content, temperature) and raw materials tests.
• Coordinate with Operations to address quality concerns proactively.
• Prepare daily raw material consumption reports and maintain monthly inventory.
• Represent the company during client quality meetings and testing when required.

• 5+ years of solid experience in Quality Control for Ready Mix Concrete (RMC)
• Strong knowledge of mix design, raw material evaluation, and concrete testing methods as per standards (ASTM, ACI, DPWH, etc.)
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement concrete quality standards, codes, and the company QC procedures.
• Conduct visual and physical inspections of concrete mixes and raw materials, evaluating and adjusting as necessary.
• Supervise and guide QC personnel in daily testing and reporting. Ensure all are properly trained in conducting concrete tests: slump test, air content, temperature; for raw materials: moisture content, sieve analysis, specific gravity, etc .
• Coordinate with Operations to address quality concerns proactively.
• Conduct trial mixes for clients at the batching plant laboratory.
• Ensure proper control, calibration, and maintenance of lab equipment and batching plant.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all test results, inspections, etc.
• Prepare daily raw material consumption reports and maintain monthly inventory.
• Represent the company during client quality meetings and testing when required.
