Capitole está buscando un/a Senior QA Automation Engineer para unirse a un equipo tecnológico que desarrolla soluciones digitales para el sector utilities. Serás clave para garantizar la calidad, fiabilidad, rendimiento y escalabilidad de soluciones software, mediante pruebas funcionales, automatización, pruebas de API y UI, e integración CI/CD en un entorno ágil.

Trabajarás definiendo estrategias de pruebas, desarrollando marcos de automatización con Playwright y TypeScript, y gestionando

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software testing and QA with automation experience.
• Strong Playwright and TypeScript experience.
• Experience with API testing and microservices.
• CI/CD and Git/Azure DevOps proficiency.
• Fluent English (C1) required.
• ISTQB certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute functional and technical test strategies, scenarios, and test plans.
• Design, maintain, and execute automated tests for APIs and user interfaces.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support Continuous Testing and secure deployments.
• Manage test plans, test execution, defect tracking, and test coverage using Azure DevOps.
• Analyse test results and collaborate with Development, DevOps, Platform, Architecture, and Product teams to identify and resolve quality issues.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Refinement, and PI Planning.

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a technology team working on digital solutions for the utilities sector. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, performance, and scalability of software solutions, combining functional testing, test automation, API and UI testing, and CI/CD integration within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, with strong hands‑on experience in test automation.
• Strong experience with Playwright and TypeScript .
• Experience with API testing, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of asynchronous architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or K6 is a plus.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
• Professional English (C1) is mandatory.

Location & Work Model

• This position is based in Alicante, Spain . We are looking for candidates who currently live in Alicante or are open to relocating.
• Hybrid work model : During the first 2 months: 2 days at the office / 3 days remote per week. From the third month onwards: 1 day at the office / 4 days remote per week.
